So I’m here seeking help for some tricks on how to get these to function properly befor I take them off and toss them in the trash. Used a grinder to grind down the pinch weld where it was hitting and got it working until I installed the end caps. Finished adjusting it as they said and it still would hit the pinch weld and get stuck behind it.

I was fine with it but, it finally retracted past the pinch weld and got stuck. RAM power steps include the option to add on a 2' extension arm kit for those who have already lifted their truck and need some extra clearance when getting in and out. It finally arrived and I installed it to find out the steps wouldn’t retract all the way and hit the pinch weld. They ordered it for me and failed to tell me it would be 2-3 months till it arrived. After days of troubleshooting I finally determined they sent me the wrong controller. Finally got them installed and inserted the fuse as the last step and they wouldn’t retract.

Went to install them and they were by far the most difficult install of the 4 sets I’ve done. I was fine with that as I have installed AMPs on my previous 2 trucks and my wife’s suburban.įound a deal on the AMPs and ordered them.
